Carmona is home of thousands Overseas Filipino Workers deployed to different parts of the world. They are one of the significant contributors to the economic development and activities in the province with an annual remittance estimate of more than 12 Billion pesos.
This steady inflow of remittances to the municipality of Carmona and the growing awareness of its potential for sustenance and development enabled the Commission on Filipinos Overseas (CFO) and the Carmona Provincial Government through its Migration and Development Initiative (MDI) under the Public Employment Service Office(PESO) in partnership with the Local Economic Development and Investment Promotions (LEDIP) Office to establish BaLinkBayan in Carmona.
This program promotes and supports diaspora-driven initiatives such as investment, philanthropy, and technology and skills transfer.
